Antonio “Antonio190” Ortega joined Clash Royale’s S2V Sports Academy in July after finishing the Connect To Play (CTP)with his previous team.
After a few months of hard work, he got the first opportunity to show his level by qualifying for the international tryouts of the Clash Contender Series (CCS). In this new league, Antonio did not disappoint and managed to reach the final phase of the qualifiers.
Rubén «The Joker» Vidorreta, Head Coach of the first team of Clash Royale of S2V Esports, trusted him to be part of the roster of the club in that competition. His performance was more than remarkable, although after a good regular season, we were eliminated from the playoffs. After that, Antonio returned to the Academy to continue his training in the competitions amateur, where he was still making his mark in the leagues as the GKR and the Liga Bandida.
His motivation, desire to learn and his results finally earned him the promotion to the first S2V team after so many months of work and perseverance. Their debut couldn’t have gone better: they got a 4-1 win on their debut, leading the team to victory in the King of the Arena of the Orange Crown League.
“When I received the news I was very excited because I’ve been since the beginning of the Clash Royale competition and I’ve never had such a great opportunity as the one given to me by S2V Esports. I also felt very good because I worked to achieve my goal of playing in the Orange Crown League and it’s worked for me. Now all that’s left is to work twice as hard and add as much as possible to the team”.
