  • Adriman passed the Swiss round with a 5-1 and won the two games of Winners Bracket that made him qualify to FUTChampions Cup Atlanta.
  • The S2V player is the 4th Spanish player with more Pro Points for the World Cup.

The representative of S2V Esports in this FUTChampions Cup was Adrián «ADRIMAN» Cañibano, a player who joined the team through the FIFA Academy and who joined the first team at the start of the season, qualifying for the Swiss round of this FCC3.

After overcoming the Swiss round with a 5-1 win on Sunday, Adriman was facing the most difficult part: the brackets to get through to Atlanta’s Major. The matches took place on Monday afternoon, facing in the first place to FUNKBRAZA, Russian player who competes in Germany, and the second match was against PIKO, Polish player who also competes in the German country.

In the first match, which was very much played, Funk Braza began by taking a 2-0 lead in the first leg, a result that Adriman was able to tie in the second leg, thus forcing extra time and then penalties. The match fell into the hands of our player after reaching the sixth penalty tied, where Adriman stopped the shot that took the Ronaldo of the Russian player.

The second match against Piko began with a 1-1 draw in the first leg, and an overwhelming return of our player that ended with a 3-1, making an aggregate of 4-2 and getting the long-awaited qualification to Major Atlanta.

The FIFA 20 Champions Cup Atlanta, which will start on January 18, 2020, has a prize pool of 200,000€ and a significant number of pro-points. The qualifier will consist of a round of 5 Swiss matches, of which 3 will have to be won, and then the round of brackets.

The main objective of our player is placed in semifinals, since getting that milestone could have the Pro Points you need to access the World Cup play-offs and would automatically qualify for the next FUTChampionsCup without having to dispute previous qualifying.
